Kenya’s women national football team, the Harambee Starlets, will travel to Zambia in June for a Four Nations Tournament as part of their build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The tournament in Lusaka will bring together hosts Zambia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Burkina Faso, giving the teams a strong test ahead of upcoming international competitions.
For the Starlets, this will be another key step in their preparations after featuring in the FIFA Series held in Kenya in April, where they beat India 2-0 before losing to Australia in the final.
Head coach Beldine Odemba says the team is making good progress and gaining valuable experience as they prepare for the continental showpiece in Morocco.
Kenya will begin their campaign against Zimbabwe on June 6, before facing hosts Zambia on June 9.
The tournament is part of Harambee Starlets’ build-up as they aim to make a strong return to WAFCON after their debut in 2016.
