Bandari drown 3K FC to reach Mozzart Bet Cup quarters

Bandari used their experience to secure a comfortable 2-0 win over 3K FC and book a place in the quarterfinals of the Mozzart Bet Cup on Sunday at Wang’uru Stadium.

The Dockers needed just two shots on target to get the job done, scoring both goals in the first half through defenders who made the difference when it mattered most.

From the start, Bandari showed their top-flight quality, taking control of the game and keeping things calm even when 3K FC tried to push forward. Their experience was clear as they managed the match well and avoided any mistakes that could lead to an upset.

Bandari took the lead in the 24th minute when Clifford Otieno headed in a well-delivered cross from Said Tsuma. It was their first real chance, but they made it count.

Just ten minutes later, Joseph Otieno doubled the lead with another header, this time from a cross by William Wadri. The goal gave Bandari full control going into halftime.

Despite trailing, 3K FC showed great fighting spirit, especially in the second half. They created several chances and pushed Bandari’s defence, but they lacked the finishing touch in front of goal.

Kendrick Kipkirui came close early in the second half, while Daniel Kuria and Samuel Wahinya also had good chances but failed to score. Bandari goalkeeper Allaine Ngeleka stayed alert to keep a clean sheet.

Bandari coach Bernard Mwalala made key changes in the second half, bringing in experienced players to strengthen the defence. The introduction of skipper Andrew Juma helped stabilize the backline as the Dockers comfortably saw out the game.

Although 3K FC impressed with their energy and determination, the difference in experience between the two sides proved decisive.

Bandari now move into the quarterfinals with confidence, while 3K FC exit the competition with pride after a strong performance against a Premier League side.
