Shabana seal Sh10 million medical partnership with Oasis Hospital

Shabana seal Sh10 million medical partnership with Oasis Hospital

Shabana have taken a major step to protect their players after unveiling a Sh10 million medical partnership with Oasis Hospital.

The Kenyan Premier League side confirmed that the deal will see Oasis Hospital provide a comprehensive medical cover worth Sh8.8 million annually. In addition, the club will receive direct financial support of Sh1.2 million per year, bringing the total value of the package to Sh10 million.

Under the agreement, players and the technical bench will benefit from medical assessments, treatment, emergency care and overall health management. The club said the partnership will guarantee quality, timely and professional healthcare services throughout the season.

Shabana Secretary General Elizaphan Kerama said the move is aimed at protecting the welfare of the players while also improving performance on the pitch.

“This partnership is fundamentally about protecting the health of our players, enhancing performance, and building a resilient and sustainable football institution,” said Kerama.

However, the agreement will be reviewed after three months. The review will allow both parties to assess how the partnership is working and make any necessary improvement.

Shabana now joins a growing number of clubs in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League that have secured structured medical partnerships for their teams.

Last year, FKF Nairobi West Branch signed a deal with Luton Hospital to train first aiders and provide medical kits for Regional League teams. In November 2025, Nairobi United also partnered with E-Plus Medical Services for emergency medical support during matches and training sessions.

A 2019 report by People Sport revealed that despite licensing rules requiring top-flight clubs to provide medical cover, only a few clubs had proper insurance for their players and their immediate family members at the time.

Shabana’s new deal signals a growing commitment among Kenyan clubs to improve player welfare and raise professional standards in the game.
