Kenya Shujaa head coach Kevin Wambua has named a 12-man squad for the Africa Men’s Sevens tournament in Mauritius, with four players set to make their international debuts.
Patrick Sabatia, Glacious Owino, Dennis Livoi and Lucky Onyango have earned their first call-ups to the national sevens team following impressive performances in the recently concluded National Sevens Circuit.
Elvis Olukusi and Rayvone Ambale will serve as co-captains as Shujaa begin their campaign in Pool B.
The squad also includes Gabriel Ayimba, Brian Mutua, Clinton Amukwachi, David Nyangige, Arnold Agonda and Victor Odhiambo.
Shujaa will face Namibia, Réunion and Madagascar in Pool B, with the tournament scheduled for October 3 and 4 in Mauritius.
The tournament will provide the Kenyan side with an opportunity to assess new talent while competing against some of the continent’s leading sevens teams.
