Mohamed Bajaber is set for a new chapter in his career after joining Nairobi United, with the attacking midfielder hoping to make the most of his return to Kenyan football.
The Harambee Stars international joins the Sportpesa League side after ending his stay with Tanzanian giants Simba SC in July, where injuries limited his chances to play regularly.
At just 23, Bajaber has already experienced success in Kenya and Tanzania, and his move to Nairobi United offers him another chance to prove his worth on the pitch.
Nairobi United confirmed the signing on Saturday, expressing confidence that the midfielder will strengthen their attack with his ability to create chances, score goals and provide assists.
Bajaber first made his name at Nairobi City Stars, where he spent three seasons between 2022 and 2025. He recorded 11 goals and four assists in 63 appearances before moving to Kenya Police FC.
At Kenya Police, he scored seven goals and helped the team win the 2024/25 Sportpesa League title, performances that helped him secure a move to Simba SC.
Although his time in Tanzania was brief, Bajaber scored on his league and domestic cup debuts. He also won the Tanzanian Community Shield in 2025 and the Federation Cup in the 2025/26 season.
His talent has also been evident in the national team. The midfielder has scored three goals in nine senior appearances for Harambee Stars, including a memorable curling volley against The Gambia in a 3-3 World Cup qualifying draw in March 2025. He later scored twice against Lesotho in June 2026.
Now back in Kenya, Bajaber will be eager to regain consistency and help Nairobi United achieve their targets this season.
His arrival follows the signing of Harambee Stars defender Alphonce Omija, as Nairobi United continue to strengthen their squad for the ongoing FKF Premier League campaign.
