Hashim Kamau has been elected as the new President of the Kenya Amputee Football Federation following elections held on Saturday at Nyayo National Stadium.
The California Ward Member of County Assembly in Nairobi County will now lead the federation as it begins a new chapter aimed at growing amputee football in the country and improving opportunities for players living with disabilities.
The elections also brought in a new leadership team that will work together to guide the federation’s activities and future development.
Bernard Ongondo was elected as the 1st Vice President, while Richard Ombeba secured the position of 2nd Vice President.
At the same time, Stanley Mukoyani retained his seat as Secretary General, showing confidence from members in his leadership and experience within the federation.
Rose Chesang also kept her role as Treasurer, while Dismus Kuyiyi was re-elected as the Organising Secretary.
The new officials are expected to focus on strengthening amputee football structures in Kenya, supporting players and clubs, and promoting inclusion through sports across the country.
The Kenya Amputee Football Federation has continued to play an important role in giving athletes living with disabilities a platform to showcase their talent and compete both locally and internationally.
