Kenya finished their campaign in style by winning the men’s volleyball title at the East Africa Inter-Parliamentary Games after a convincing 3–0 victory over the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) team at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium in Kampala.
The Kenyans showed class and confidence as they completed the tournament unbeaten, sealing the gold medal with a strong performance in Friday afternoon’s final.
The win confirmed Kenya as the dominant team in the regional parliamentary championship.
Kenya took control of the match early, winning the opening set 25–14. Their solid blocks and powerful serves left EALA struggling to settle into the game.
The second set proved more competitive, with EALA taking an early lead and briefly threatening to push Kenya.
However, the Kenyans stayed calm, improved their coordination and turned the game around to take the set 25–16.
The third set followed a familiar pattern. Kenya controlled the tempo, blocked well at the net and limited EALA’s attacking options. They closed out the match with another 25–16 win to seal the title.
The straight-sets victory underlined Kenya’s dominance throughout the tournament and capped off an impressive unbeaten run, as they lifted the men’s volleyball trophy in Kampala.
