Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) volleyball team continued their strong run at the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Club Championship with a commanding straight-sets victory over VC La Loi in Cairo, Egypt in their pursuit of the continental title.
KPC showed class and confidence from the first serve, defeating the Democratic Republic of Congo side in straight sets of 25-12, 25-12 and 25-17 to register their third consecutive win in the tournament.
The Kenyan league champions controlled the match from start to finish. Their height advantage at the net and powerful serving game proved too much for VC La Loi, who struggled in reception and hence could not build any meaningful attacks.
In the opening two sets, KPC were simply unstoppable. They dominated both sets with identical 25-12 scorelines, using strong blocking and quick attacks to keep their opponents under pressure.
VC La Loi found it difficult to break through the solid KPC defence, often facing well-organized triple blocks.
The third set saw a slight improvement from the Congolese side, who tried to fight back and managed to keep the scores close in the early stages. However, KPC’s experience and composure quickly made the difference.
The Oilers tightened their defence and unleashed powerful cross-court spikes to pull away and seal the set 25-17, completing a comfortable victory.
The win strengthens KPC’s position in the tournament as they continue their quest for continental glory, sending a strong message to their rivals in Cairo.
