Kenya Pipeline Company volleyball team continued their strong run at the African Club Championship with a convincing straight-sets victory over Burundi’s Gender Light Club in Cairo on Tuesday.
Kenya Pipeline Company Volleyball Team delivered a powerful performance to defeat Gender Light Club 3-0 in their second match of the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship.
The Kenyan side, famously known as the “Oil Queens,” controlled the game from start to finish. They dominated in attack and blocked effectively at the net, leaving their opponents with little chance to respond.
Using their height advantage and experience, KPC shut down Gender Light Club early and maintained pressure throughout the match.
The Burundian side showed moments of fight but could not match the strength and depth of the Kenyan champions.
The victory follows KPC’s opening win against Ghana’s KSC, making it two wins out of two in Pool B.
With this strong start, KPC now sit at the top of their group and look well on course for the knockout stages as they continue their push for continental glory.
