Kenya’s men’s Roll Ball national team maintained their perfect start at the 7th Roll Ball World Cup with a convincing 18–4 win over Pakistan in Dubai.
The defending champions were in control from the start, showing strong defence and fast attacking play to take an early lead and dominate both halves of the match.
One of the players Joshua Onyango said good preparation played a big role in the victory, noting that the team studied their opponents closely before the game.
“We watched Pakistan’s previous match and prepared well. Everyone knew their role on the court and we followed our game plan,” said Onyango.
Assistant coach Joshua Choti Evans praised the team’s unity and energy but admitted there are areas to improve as the tournament progresses.
“The team has bonded very well and the energy is high. This is the first match we have conceded four goals, and that is something we will work on. Overall, it was a good performance,” he said.
With two wins already secured, Kenya will now turn their attention to their next pool match against Sri Lanka as they continue their push to defend the world title.
Team Kenya remains one of the strong favourites in the tournament as they chase another historic Roll Ball World Cup triumph.
