Bidco United seek to fry more goals in January window by getting a lethal striker

abc

Bidco United head coach Anthony Akhulia has revealed that the club is in the market for a proven striker during the upcoming January transfer window, as the team struggles to convert goal-scoring chances into results.

Speaking after their latest fixture, Akhulia pointed to the team's lack of cutting edge in front of goal as a major reason for their dip in form.

‎"We need to find a reliable goal scorer," he said. "Take the game against Mathare United, for instance — we created so many chances, some easier to score than miss, but we couldn’t find the back of the net. It’s small details like that which cost you points and put the team in danger."

‎The Oilers, who started the SportPesa Premier League season on a high note, are now winless in their last eight matches.

They've only managed to score seven goals in 13 rounds so far, a statistic that has underlined the need for reinforcement up front.

‎Coach Akhulia expressed confidence that with the right signing, the team can turn their season around. "We are doing well in creating opportunities; now we need someone who can make them count," he added.
