APS boost survival hopes as Hillary Juma’s double gives them win over Bandari

APS boost survival hopes as Hillary Juma’s double gives them win over Bandari

APS Bomet continued their impressive run in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) after beating Bandari 2-0 at Kwale Stadium on Wednesday.

Hillary Juma was the star of the match as he scored both goals to guide the law enforcers to another important victory away from home.

APS Bomet started the match strongly and showed confidence from the first whistle. Their attacking play caused problems for Bandari’s defence, with Juma leading the attack well.

The forward opened the scoring in the first half after a well-worked move before adding his second goal later in the game to complete a deserved win for the visitors.

Bandari tried to respond after conceding but struggled to create clear scoring chances against the organised APS Bomet defence.

The dockers enjoyed some possession, especially in the second half, but failed to break through as APS Bomet remained solid at the back throughout the match.

The victory extends APS Bomet’s unbeaten run to nine matches in the league. During that period, they have won six games and drawn three, showing great improvement in both attack and defence.

The team has also now kept eight straight clean sheets, underlining their discipline and defensive strength.

The latest result moves APS Bomet to 40 points and they are now placed 12th in the KPL standings. The club will be encouraged by their recent form as they continue to climb up the table.

For Bandari, the defeat is another disappointing result in front of their home fans in Kwale. The dockers remain on 41 points after 32 matches and are 10th on the league table.

APS Bomet will now turn their focus to their next league fixture hoping to continue their unbeaten run, while Bandari will be looking for a quick response as the season heads into the final stages.
