Kahawa Pride lands deal with Cristiano Ronaldo’s recovery brand

Kahawa Pride lands deal with Cristiano Ronaldo’s recovery brand

Kenya’s fifth-tier side Kahawa Pride FC have secured a major boost after signing a two-year partnership with Advanced Recovery for Athletes by CR7, a fitness and recovery company owned by global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

The ambitious club, which competes in the FKF Nairobi East Regional League Zone B, confirmed the development through a bold statement on their social media pages as they prepare for the second half of the season.

“Kahawa Pride FC X AVA CR7. Standards matter. We choose excellence,” the club posted, showing their desire to raise professional standards despite playing in the lower divisions of Kenyan football.

Details of the agreement reveal that Kahawa Pride will receive modern recovery gear and specialised equipment designed to improve player fitness, speed up recovery after matches, and reduce injuries.

Sources close to the deal say the recovery package is valued at over Ksh2 million. For a grassroots club, this is seen as a transformative investment that could improve performance and consistency on the pitch.

In leagues where financial challenges often limit progress, structured recovery programs can give teams a crucial advantage, especially during tight and demanding fixtures.

In another commercial breakthrough, Kahawa Pride also announced a sponsorship deal with Betway Scores, the official scoring app linked to renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. The company will serve as the club’s official kit sponsor.

“Kahawa Pride FC X Betway Scores. We value the trust. Ready for the work,” read a separate club statement.

Currently sitting 15th in the 18-team league table with five points, Kahawa Pride have endured a difficult season marked by administrative challenges.

The club acquired its league slot after taking over from Union FC, which folded due to financial problems. As part of the transition, Kahawa inherited a six-point deduction after the former club issued two walkovers.

However, sources indicate that the club has successfully appealed the punishment and is expected to recover the deducted points, pending official confirmation from the federation.

With new commercial backing and improved recovery facilities, Kahawa Pride are now hoping the fresh investment will help them move away from the relegation zone and build a stronger future.
